Changing from one medication to another often creates withdrawal symptoms. When I changed from Seroquel which I had been on for 5 years to Risperdal I did have flu like symptoms but they passed within a few days. You are doing the right thing to speak to your psychiatrist but if its that it should go away soon. Its just a transitional process.
Thank you for responding. Yes, I believe cold turkey from Seroquel didn't help/
Think the headaches that still persist are the withdrawal.
Think the vomiting was from the Geodon.
Currently out there in space of NO psychotrop now for over 18 hours...eeeek
Will call gp and the pdoc.
The antivomit pill working very well, aah I held down water!!!!! Real food here I come!
Thanks again,

I just had a thought - it may be the sudden withdrawal from the seroquel causing the headaches also. If they're no better tomorrow then definitely ring your health care provider.
I'm taking Geodon and it can cause headaches and nausea as it's side effects. It also causes this really badly if you go through withdrawal from it. It may pass eventually as your body gets used to it but if not and it's unbearable you'll need to change medications. It was good that you took acetaminophen for your headache, hopefully it worked for you and numbed it. I had the dizziness and such from it as soon as I started taking it but that wore off after a few weeks for me. As for the headaches, I get migraines several times a month so I don't know if it's the Geodon or just my naturally occuring ones.
