On a side note - I hate the term crazy almost as much as I hate insane and sane as concepts. Crazy is pejorative term for me - some of the craziest actions come from sane people and never underestimate the stupidity that intelligent people are capable of.
Technically seeing and hearing things is what society defines as crazy behaviour however seeing as how society does not see and hear the things how can they make a judgement?
However you cut it when you get to this stage get some help because things can get scary beyond this point and my advice is forget what people call you and never worry if someone thinks you are crazy - the reality is that you are you and you are alive and in need of help and thats all that matters.
I think it would definitely be advisable for you to seek medical help if you are experiencing these types of auditory and visual hallucinations.
Your Doctor will not think you are crazy but will refer you to the relevant specialist in order for you to get the correct treatment.
I second monkeyc. I have delusions and hallucinations (especially auditory hallucinations - don't know if there's a special term for that) sometimes also. It is disturbing. A psychiatrist should be able to diagnose if it is bipolar or something else.
It might or might not help you, but when I am terrified of things in or outside our home (non-existent things), I try to remind myself we have 4 dogs and a security alarm. Takes a little bit of the edge off to tap into the things I absolutely know are real. And, you may be bipolar with bits of other conditions as well. It's not unusual to have several things at once.
It's sometimes hard to see the doctor, but rest assured most of them have seen or heard everything and they are the last people who will judge you. Their job is to help. If you go to one and you're not clicking, try a different one. You need to be as comfortable as possible. Good luck.
Delusions and Hallucinations are normaly for many bipolatrs. You nee to go and see your doctor ok, truly this can be a bad place and you do not need to suffer alone
