i thank you for response , i undestend what you mean by inflated sense of self , but my consern was why the obsession is always about god and grendiosity, my son thrghu his phone to the ocean becouse god tald him to do so,,, and his usual ansewer is every thing is in the hand of god ,,,,, he is 26 very good looking 6.5 230lbs and very lonly all his freinds marryed or went to colledge, he wants real girlfrend real life how can it happend???
Yes we cant under t.o.s. comment on people's belief systems or discusss the specifics in the general forums. I do know some people find faith based recovery groups to be of help. Psychiatrists are respectful of that. The concern you discussed is different. The phenomena you are speaking about is to my knowledge known as religiousity and that is different from anyone's belief syste but you could discuss the speficics more with his psychiatrist. If a person's ideas or thoughts suddenly change during mania and/or they develop fixed obsessions then thats something of concern to watch for. I have experienced the concern you are speaking of and take care at all times to make sure that who I am and how I I see myself in relation to other people matches up with realiety testing. Another concern I keep myself aware of that can occur is having whats called an inflated sense of self importance which does happen to me at times.
