Lamotrigine Overdose.

Silly me I accidently took 100 mg around 8:30 AM. I was being very absentminded and didn't think.
I had my dosage last evening around 6 PM. So I have 12 hours between dosages. No rashes yet but I was extremely tired during the afternoon. I do have my pill box but I just totally forgot thinking I was still on my old dosage from last week.

I'm going to skip this evenings dosage and start again at 6 PM tomorrow.
What do you recommend.
I haven't foamed at the mouth yet.

I can only take away from your comments that this something you are not too concerned about? So why post? Medication mis haps can be a real serious situation and I wouldn't want others to be mis-lead in thinking that it's not.
Glad you are not foaming at the mouth, and I really am glad you have someone watching over you.Depending where you are in your dosing, will play into any possible disconfort.
Call a medical or pharm.-fore your next dose, to be on the safe side. Good Luck

If you skipped a dose you might get some return of mania but generally the prescription labels for almost any medication generally state to a person should they miss a dose and its close to the next available dose to skip it but I wouldn't want to state what a doctor might. But get the insert that came with the prescription and see if that's what it advises. Of course we cannot give advice but I would suggest you keep a medication container with divided dosages so you know when you are do to take it and if needed keep a chart with reminders up. I've done that when needed.

Too Late...
Everything is closed.
Doctor is out of town.

My husband will keep watch and if I have problems I will go to the emergency room.

Read what it says on the prescription label as for a missed dose or call your doctor. If you took 100 mg. more it would be a serious matter. They can advise you how to proceed. If your doctor isn't available speak to your pharmacist.
