I love this place. thank you both for the encouragement and the knowlege.
ILADVOCATE, taken all three stabilizers and do best on lithium er 450 mg x2 a day.
I know to stay out of the sun with antibiotics, never thought of it for bp meds. I have medium olive skin...hubby has norwegian skin, we have two daughters one w/o any kind of desertrat tan but the other has darker olive skin than me.
This new drug...respi something and another to keep me from shaking or getting the side effects as badly. BUT I am still weak and nauseated from coming off the seroquel.
the puffiness is going away but still the amount I gained, whew good thing my horse isn't mine and at the neighbors house!!! lol.
Bedtime, to keep me level, I try to be asleep by twelve or I would be a vampire as well. Use to take the 12 am to 6 am volunteer spot for suicide hotline and then stay up til nine pm the next night for weeks at a time then crash.
I'm still lonely and feel really misunderstood even by family and long time friends but I am journaling, reading and listening to the music that makes me visualize beauty.
Going back to the music stuff that we all listen to....have any of you experienced andes music w/o words? Or Selah for really uplifting melodies and words?
Gotta go, this is daughters puter, sigh, still can't get another for awhile...let's see new puter or the pdoc a few times, talk doc hmmmm think it is the docs.
It's earlier in the day, going to go take a leap into the water before hubby messes it up with cleaning stuff.
Thank you again for concerns and acts of love,

there with ya kiddo, been there, done that. Hold on, there are still other meds that they can try. I am a hard to medicate BP also. I cannot take any of the new anti psychs and now on tegretol myself. As for blowing up, I can relate, I gained 75+ lbs and cannot get it off. I am learning to accept myself as I am, tho my horse my differ with me. Better fat then in a rubber room. Be careful too with the new anti psychs as I am now prediabetic because of them. Be very careful in the heat - you may burn more easily and not sweat as much. In the summer here I am out in the morning and evening but not in the heat of the day. Sort of a modified vampire lol.
Hope your weekend goes ok. Keep trying, don't give up as much as you may want to.
"Flu like withdrawal symptoms" are a common side effect of changing medications that is generally not of concern. Its important to see exactly what medication gave you a panic attack and ask your psychiatrist. Antipsychotics can cause weight gain but the two least likely are Abilify and Geodon. If its extremely hot outside make sure to stay well hydrated. It does make sense to stay out of the sun as it does when taking any medication. Did your psychiatrist try standard mood stabilizers such as lithium, Depakoate and Lamictal? There are many mood stabilizers and those are the most often used ones. You might want to speak to them about finding a medication that is helpful for you and you can tolerate among the options.
