alcohol and bipolar

hello, ive been diagnosed with stage 2. im on a manic episode at the moment ( apparantly)  my question is does anyone feel when they are manic, to get absolutely pie eyed. ive spent 200 pound this weekend on buying rubish and telling people to keep the change. i put my bedroom furniture on ebay and now regret it but when i have these manic episodes i drink as well. i dont normally drink but its almost as if the normal brain function switches off and i press the self destruct button

Sounds like typical manic behaviour to me.Do you have meds to help control it? A bit of therapy can help too.Lily

Hi, from what you have said you are showing classic bipolar symptoms.. I do all of those things myself.. you sound very impulsive at the moment so try to avoid making any rash decisions! Try to avoid the alcohol as this will increase your channces of doing silly things! I crave alcohol when high and for some reason it doesn't affect me as much so I need boat loads. Take care!
