If you go to the "welcome" page there are some websites that are clinically accurate but consumer friendly on bipolar and depression. If you were prescribed Depakoate, that is for bipolar, that is it is a full mood stabilizer. Keep a mood tracker and see if your moods vary in a way you are not aware of at all times. And of course speak to your psychiatrist and ask why they prescribed you Depakoate and why they have diagnosed you with bipolar and what kind and how they believe the medication is treating it.

Best way, aside from seeing a professional, is to look up the symptoms of Depression and the symptoms of Bipolar, see which fits your personality best, or look up the symptoms on this site.
