switch frtom Zxprexa

Went to my dr. today and he changed my meds.  Took me off Zxprexa 20 mg and put me on Geodon 80 mg .  I''m hopeful that I want have any any withdrawal symptoms.  If there are any symptoms what should I be on the look out for?

I ur switching from one med to another, there SHOULD be NO side effects if each medication is in the same FAMILY of meds...example Zyprexa to Seroquel.

When I was changed from Seroquel to Risperdal I had some standard flu like withdrawal symptoms. Basically I felt run down and lousy and had some aches and pains and had to sleep a lot for a couple of days but it was nothing dangerous and it went away. Don't know if that was specific to that antipsychotic change over or would happen with others. Ask your psychiatrist for more specific information.
