Date Site for people with Mental Disorders?

Hi,

Ive just seen this site www.igotdemons.com.  I have registered on it, but now I am having second thoughts.

The website is a Free Dating site for people with mental disorders, weird personalities etc etc.. perfect for me!

But, I am a little worried.  I suffer from schizophrenia.

igotdemons.com claims who better to understand you than someone who is going through what you are.... but, am I just compounding my problems or multiplying them by two?

Just for the record, i think its a great idea.....

It sounds like a good place to meet someon who also has a mental illness but if they aren't well it could bring you down too. I think you would have to proceed with caution but it's definately a unique idea. I wish I had started that site-LOL!!

Namaste,

Hooking up with an individual who has the same or different mental disorder that you is only compounding your problems.

You need to take care of yourself and make sure that you are stable for a long period of time(I suggest a year) before even considering entering into a romantic relationship.

And when and if you do, insure that it is a healthly relationship based upon honesty, trust and that it  is caring, sharing and fair. Only within a healthy relationship will you have a better opportunty to maintain a somewhat "normal" life.
