Manic Questions???

Ok..I've been hyper for the last two weeks...and getting everything done and felt GREAT!
Today I woke up with my brain buzzing so loud I feel like people around me should be able to hear it.
My body is vibrating from the inside out....MANIC to the max now...non stop taling in my brain...too fast to keep up...starting to get agitated instead of just happy like the last two weeks.
I love the hyper but the Manic is driving me crazy. HELP!
Does anyone else feel like this when they are manic???
Is this normal? I mean for bipolar?
Please help! I think it may be time to call the Dr.
Yikes.....

I know EXACTLY how you are feeling.
Problem is that you're in a serious state because if the mania keeps going you end up in an institution.
And Yes, I'd call the doc.
Good luck

Are you on anti manic meds? If I were you I'd go to the dr ASAP and find out if they can either put you on meds or up them. I find that when I get manicky enough to hear the buzz I'm getting ready to get out of control. Like ann said, hide your money, stay away from stores and internet temptations and don't drink anything with caffeine in it. Try to find things in your life that help you settle down ( which can be nearly impossible in this state) such as music, exercise, gardening, etc. Good luck!

brain buzzing....though bipolar for many years, I have only in the past year noticed the brain buzzing you are talking about.  Its weird isn't it....

I agree.  Be careful.  Exercise reasonably.  Keep money away from your wallet...
Be kind to those around you (opposite of bossy).  Wish you the best.

I'm currently on good behavior as I've already used up my wild points for the year,
Ann

this happens to me too these symptoms you are descibing are very  common..... manic feels greaat in its lower stanges
you blossom with ideas and become more social have more energy which is all great
but in the higher stanges your judgement gets clouded and you can get grandios and paranoid it can also cause anxiety buildup.......
bottom line is htta if mania gets to aout of control it can be dangerous
being manic can cause you to make horrible impressions on people
it can be pretty bad depending on how manic you are
my advice is to talk to your phyc doctor about changing your meds
if you continue to stay manic.
if you feel you have been in a manic phase try
taking your medication earlier (the kind that helps you go to bed I mean)
you know you are having an episode when its to the point where you can't function anymore in public if that ever happens thats normally the time when you should go to a hospital

Yes when a person is manic outside sounds and stimuli do become more intense. I know having been through it before recovery. But after that you start to lose judgment and might do things that get out of hand. Best to speak to your psychiatrist about having medications adjusted. Mania only seems fun until you look back at what happenned or even what you were thinking at the time.

Welcome to the world of bp.  You symtoms are pretty typical of bp. behavior.  These symtoms include: really up around the ceiling, really down or agitated in the middle because you can feel you are falling into a depressed state.  You are right, it is time to call the Doc.  However, do yourself a favor find one that specializes in bp and knows how to treat it.  Not all docs can treat it and it can be frustrating, expensive, and a waste of time.  You can get referrals from friends, family members, cooworkers, etc.  The sooner you find a good doc the sooner you can start to work on stabilizing your mood swings.  I wish you the best.  Take care.
