Broken nexplanon... signs or symptoms?

Okay so ive had the nexplanon for 16 months ive had no problems besided 40kg weight gain. Last week i was feeling my implanon to make sure it was still there and there is a large indentation in the middle of if. My arm as been very sore and numb to the point it makes me nauseous and cry and whinge. Im booked in for a ultrasound next week on it and my dr says it may be broken but im going to get it out anyway. Do any of you know the signs and symptoms of a broken or bent nexplanon??
