First time on yasmin

Dear community or any gynecologist as well

Hi my name is sami &This is my first time on yasmin well one will my periods be much shorter on yasmin & i was 8 days into my period to of the normal 10 days i have my period for & so it's been almost 3 years since the last time i was on any birth control pills but back then i was on ortho tri cyclen lo but about up to 4 year's on ortho tri cyclen until my obgyn at the time had asked me that if wanted to try ortho tri cylen lo but this is a new state as of 3 year's ago now through i have been on birth control pills in a little over 3 year's ago now till today & I'm 16 year's old & very scared somewhat of this being my very first time on yasmin even though I'm actually on the generic version of yasmin called ocella 3mg / 0.3 mg & should i be this scared my first time on yasmin at all i know a lot of my fear about yasmin comes from thing's i read on & even though i was raised not to believe everything i hear or read which prompted me to at least give it a try as well but I know my periods on ortho tri cylen & ortho tri cylen lo were still ten day periods not shorter at all so i wanted to try this because i heard it also shortens periods to so I'm extremely hoping that i actually have shorter periods myself from now on & is it okay to take yasmin with me already being 8 days into my period symptoms or not just wondering because I'm new to yasmin anyways.

Sincerely
Sami

P.s. blessed be

I think different birth controls have different effects on people which is why people have to change until they find one that suits their needs. I had shorter periods after being on my pill and they say after three months of starting it it will begin to regulate. This sounds normal to me but if you are concerned maybe contact your sexual health clinic?
