Not taking the sugar pills..ever

Okay so Im on Seasonique birth control. Been on it for a few years now. I take one pill daily for three months and then you're supposed to take the last 7 sugar pills. I've never done that. I've just went straight to the next pack of birth control without taking that 7 day break. I usually have a period 2 weeks before I finish my 3rd month of pills. My periods starts off blackish brown and then eventually turns red and goes to brown and red back and forth. Could that cause harm to my uterus? Or could be the answer to why I've been getting such bad migraines?

Migraines can be a side effect of birth control.  However, unless your doctor instructed you to take your Seasonique in the manner you are doing, I would suggest not doing so until you've sorted out the migraine issue and whether it's connected (talk to your doctor to find out, especially if you've noticed any correlation between frequency and being on this particular pill).  Usually the only time skipping placebo pills for more than 3-4 months at a time is recommended is in cases where the patient has PCOS or endo.

I was always told black/brown blood was old blood and its normal. I would get migraines with certain brands of birth control, so that's a possibility.
