Jus to say I'm 16 - I had the copper iud put in 7/8 weeks ago . It was ok not the best at first! I thought because its the copper iud no hormones I'd be ok! But no.. It alll started when I had my first period 2 weeks before.. I started getting extreme headaches on my right side , neck pain , shoulder pain, dizzee ness I couldn't concentrate & my legs arms joint muscles all felt week and horrable I got anxiety DEPRESSED , realy bad pnic attacks I'd been doctors at least 4 times in 3 weeks n rang a paramedic 3 times in 2 weeks .. I honestly thought I was going crazy I kept feeling sick my eyes would go funny I got bad pressure in my ears nose and eyes.. I also got rashes on my belly , no doctor could figure out what it was all my blood test come back normal I evan got put on a heart monitor it was fine ! . But everytime I mentioned copper iud to my doctor he would look at me gone out &say there's no way it could be that but I didn't believe him so I got it taken out , its been 10 days now since I had it removed and things are starting to get better already ! My arms aint as achy my head aches are gettin less everyday my anxietys calming down and my depression is GONE! Nd all other symptoms are going slowly. I just want to warn other girls/women about it my experiance was horrable! But I'm glad there subsiding now , I just want to know has anyone else expierianced any of these?

Did you have any side affects with the copper iud? Any cramping or late periods? I like the idea of the iud since I'm extremely forgetful with anything else, but my period is really late. Did this happen to you at all? Figured I'd ask since you seem to really have high praise for it! That's really too bad that you had that much trouble with the hormonal one as well. Hopefully everything is okay now and back to normal? :)
