5 months off the pill...

Okay, this month is the 5th month I've been off the pill. Ever since i stopped my periods have been super irregular. June- period on the 12th, July- 11th, August- 12th, Sept- 4th, Oct- 5th, and now this month it hasnt come yet, im really scared. Ive experienced cramps (like period cramps), bloating, headaches, and acne outbreaks this month. Could this be my body trying to become regular again, or am i pregnant? please help. Thank you.

Yes, you can miss or have irregular periods with hormone imbalances or disorders.  Easily.

Anyone can be paranoid.  It doesn't matter.  Test if you think you could be pregnant.  Test again in another week or so if you get a negative.  That's what matters.

I am going through the same issue with my periods since I came of the pill myself nearly 3mths ago and have been told by family planning that this is compelety normal because it is your body getting use to becoming regular again. So don't worry about being pregnant, unless you have had sex without any protection!!

If you think you may be pregnant, take a pregnancy test.  Since your periods are irregular, this makes it more challenging.    Just take one, using a first morning urine and a good, sensitive test.

If you still don't get your period, test again in a week.

Regardless, you should see your doctor about the changes associated with irregular periods, cramping, bloating, and acne.  You could have a hormonal imbalance that can be corrected.

Good luck!
