Okay, great. The pill that I'm switching to is just the generic version of what I'm already on, the only difference being that it's a higher dosage per my request. And my pill works to stop ovulation, so I don't think I ovulate at all, and I'm RELIGIOUS about taking my pills, so I should be fine. I'll probably just use extra protection when taking the placebos just to be safe.
If you're going straight from one pill to another you should be fine. Give your Dr a call to ask about this though. It might be a good idea to get an ovulation test because not all women ovulate in the middle of their cycles. Some can ovulate right before or right after their periods. If you have a short period lasting only a couple of days there could be that window where you do ovulate and are not taking your pills. I hope this makes sense. It happened to my sister with both of her children. Very short periods and that 7 day window of no pills. If you get the ovulation kit and find that you do ovulate while not taking the pills then you can use condoms during that time.
