Help!

i am on merina (the birth control) and i have not had a period... well i have had spotting every month that is brown and only last a few days. My doctor told me that i might not have a period or  i may just have brown spotting every month. i assumed that is what was happening.. but this past weekend i went to my home town and rode jet skis on the lake and after a few hours of being out on the lake i started getting cramps really bad in my lower abdomen. i assumed that it was just my monthly "brown" spotting but when i got home i went to the rest room and it was RED! i havent had it be red in so long... i am worried that it could be a miscarriage. any advice?

All the reasons that you all put out are the reasons that I got off the IUD, plus me and my man are planning to have a baby. Having orgasms now is better, I got really bad cramping when I had it in and it made me not even want to have sex it hurt so bad. I wouldn't recommend the Mirena IUD to anyone, it was nothing but problems the whole time I had it.

I had the Merina IUD put in during October 2009, I have had several issues since putting it in.  One day after a lot of exercise(stomach pilates) i had a lot of bleeding after.  I have been doing a little research lately and it could be a perforation for you or not, but mine eventually went away.  I have also had less extreme orgasms, a harder time reaching a peak of orgasm since putting it in.    I am a lot drier in the vaginal area  and I am considering having it removed.  I am at an age where it could be menopause early, but these issues have only been since i put it in.  Ihave had spotting in between periods and irritation from the vaginal secretions.  I do not have an infection and have not had sex for 6 months. I put the thing in, in hopes my husband would get more interested without the worry of me getting pregnant since he never had the vasectomy he said he would get. But at this rate, I am very frustrated with everything.!!

I had this same problem when I had the merina. I never knew what was going on with my body. I had nothing but problems with it. My suggestion would be to get it out asap.
