I need help

Hi,
I have been on the pill for roughly 9 months I have been expiriencing depression, self harm, insane frustration over simple things and severe mood swings. It has recently been affecting my life and my closest relationships very badly.
I get so confused sometimes as to why I snap at my boyfriend and why I get so mad at me for no reason whatsoever he has been so patient with me. But enoughs enough I need help!
What should I do? I need the pill for period pains and a form of birth control, I have tried other medications for my pains but nothing else works.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
In primary dysmenorrheal(usually starts with menarche),adequate rest ,sleep, moderate exercises, anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen or ketoprofen, aspirin, low dose oral contraceptives containing estrogen and progestin or IUD containing hormones are required. Very severe cases may require endometrial ablation.
In addition, lifestyle modifications like dietary modifications (to increase protein and decrease sugar and caffeine intake),vitamin supplements, regular exercise, keeping a heating pad across the abdomen or taking a hot bath or shower may also help.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you so much for your advice, I'm considering talking to my doctor and discussing any alternatives, but I am unsure (as I am 17 and don't have a very open relationship with my mother) how she will react so I'm wondering if your doctor gets in contact with your parents?
Also I am consuming the pill named 'Yasmin' is it true this pill is specifically known to trigger mood swings and depression? What else may you know about this specific pill??
