I took Emergency Contraception and I wanna know if I might be pregnant?

I had unprotected sex on Monday December 09, and my boyfriend didn't pull out on time. At first I wasnt that panicked, until that Wednesday December 11. When I woke up in the morning I was discharging. So that afternoon I went to get emergency contraception. Since then I've been getting really bad headaches, migraines, dizziness, heartburn, nauseous, I get either really emotional or angry, I've been gasy and constipated, my appetite has increased, I get a lot of food cravings, I been feeling a lot of pressure in my stomach under my breasts, and today I threw up. My period is suppose to come in at the end of next week. Is their any chance that I could be pregnant?

HI,
The unprotected sex was around mid-cycle, which is the time of ovulation and at this time the risk of pregnancy is highest. However as you have taken emergency contraception, the risk is reduced. The symptoms you are having can also be the side effects of the drug. Hence taking of antacids may help. If however the periods do not come on time then a home pregnancy test can be taken.
The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.

I took a PT this morning and it came out negative. I feel a little better that it didn't come out positive. I'm just still waiting to get my period.

Sounds like a plan.  Be sure to use first morning urine for the most accuracy.  Hoping it's just due to the Plan B!

Since you took emergency contraception within 72 hours, you should be fine; however, it is known to be more effective the closer to the unprotected sex it is taken.  Be advised the emergency contraception may cause your period to come early, be late, be different than usual, or even not appear.  The symptoms you experience could be due to the things you have described or the pill.  Be advised it is better to take a pill daily than to use the emergency pill more than once in a blue moon as it is a high dose of hormones, which is harder for your body to deal with.

Best of luck!

Thank you for replying and not being rude about the situation.  I got tums for for the acid reflexes. Its been helping, even though I still get it everyday. I don't have insurance right now so I been trying to make an appointment to go to a free clinic.  I still haven't got my period, I'm still waiting on it but I sort of been getting cramps so that might mean it should be coming.  I will keep you posted, thank you again.
