Morning after pill - please help

Hi, this is a bit of a long story, but I'd appreciate anyones advice or experience if thy have been in a similar situation. I had unprotected sex on 21st Aug. I took the morning after pill about 13 hours after the intercourse. I bled a week later (was not my normal period as it was 2 weeks early) It was a side effect from the pill. I don't wish to be pregnant and have been very stressed, so I worried myself sick and then I had a blood test taken on 19th Sept (4 weeks after intercourse) and it came back negative. I then got my period (or what I thought it to be) on the 28th Sept, however what worries me is that it only lasted about 2 1/2 days, started out like a normal period really and then faded to dark red - brownish only when i wiped. It is now 2 weeks after that bleed (8 weeks since intercourse) and I'm testing negative on early urine preg tests. Ahhh sorry about life story ---but what I'm wanting to know is am I just being a major stress head???? Or do you think I could infact be pregnant??? Any one who can give some advice or has had experience with the morning after pill, I would appreciate your info. Thank you

It was close to 6 years ago so I don't remember all the details. I remember the first one was more spotting, which of course freaked me out more. The second one I had in that month was one of the heaviest I ever had though. Honestly what I remember most was the breast soreness, nausea and cramping. (I'm one of the lucky who don't usually experience cramps so they particularly stand out in my mind.)

Hopefully it all turns out alright- its so horrible playing the waiting game.

thank you very much for your reply. Did it cause your period to be shorter or lighter?? I know it's unlikely but the stress is just driving me crazy. i have booked to see doctor again ...hopefully she will give me a blood test referral so I can put this to rest for good. :(

The morning after pill really messed me up. I was almost bedridden with cramps and nausea for 3 days, and then I got my period 2x in one month. The following month it was a little off too, but I assumed it was just because my body was trying to correct itself. Knowing how much it freaked me out, I think it sounds like your problems are mainly from stress.

It's pretty freaking rare to be definitely pregnant (over a month) and still get a negative pregnancy test. Theoretically possible, but very unlikely. If you are very concerned about possible symptoms of being pregnant or lasting side effects from the pill maybe you should talk with you doctor/gyn.
