On Tri-Sprintec and Late Period

I am concerned about my late period. I have been on Tri-Sprintec for quite a few months now. I'm currently on my last week taking the inactive white pills. So far I took about 4 of these pills and haven't gotten my period yet. Last month, I was under a lot of stress and I got it twice in that month. Other than that month, my period seemed to come on time with the pills.

I am concerned about this. When would I need to take a pregnancy test and how long should I wait to see a gyny? After 2 weeks?

Let me know. Thanks so much!

Hi there!

Ideally I would suggest waiting for 7-10 days for the periods, following which you may consider an evaluation by a gynaecologist. You could check for pregnancy by running a home pregnancy test (urine based) about 3 weeks after an alleged intercourse.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
