Your last question is a very valid one. I am now wondering if my eggs were still dropping because I am now 7 weeks without the mirena and I am not ovulating nor have I had a period. They say the mirena doesn't affect ovulation, but if it doesn't then how come you don't get a period. There is so much conflicting information on this thing its making me angry. I wish I had looked into it more before letting my dr talk me into it. My husband and I are ttc baby # 2 and so far, with no period, no ovulation, we don't have a chance... thanks to that stupid mirena. I think the mirena screwed me up... and I regret it.
Sorry. The first sentence should say "...as long as my body is not getting screwed up."
It's ok if my periods are nonexistent as long as my body is getting screwed up. If I am not having a period do the eggs still drop and pass through my system? That is all I am worried about. I don't want this to turn into something horrible later on when I want to have more kids.
After having a baby, your periods can be missing or irregular for quite a long time, especially if you are breastfeeding.
If a pregnancy test is negative, unfortunately no one will be completely able to answer your question, unless you can get the $$ up to go to a doctor.
The Mirena obviously can make your period light or nonexistent, but no one can be sure if or unless you consult a doctor.
