Sudden period after having no period while on Mirena

I have had Mirena for around 2 years now. When I first got it placed, I continued to have a period for a few months, then it completely stopped. I have not had a period not for about a year and a half. Then, all of a sudden yesterday I started bleeding and have all of my normal symptoms of a period. Is this normal? Should I be worried about the effectiveness of my IUD?

This just happened to me today. I haven't had a period since I got pregnant, so for about 2.5 years now.
I can still feel that my iud is in, but I don't know if I should be worried or should seek an alternate form of BC...

Same for me I'm worried maybe it's not going to work anymore don't want my periods back I bled so heavy and suffered from pms so bad that they have me on medication for it.Plus the heavy cramping for days I could hardly get off the couch. This has been a miracle for me don't want to go back to the periods again I'm scared it's going to happen all over again.
