Yaz and White pills??

Hi!

I started taking Yaz after finishing my other contraceptive POP (Progestin only pill).
The day I started Yaz was on December 25 and two weeks later on January 4 I had my period and lasted 7 days.
While taking Yaz the pink pills, im on the 28 days pills, yesterday I haved reached to the white pills ( 4 inactive without hormones) I was wondering if I have to take the white pills or if I have to continue to the new package and pink pills, and i wanted to know if i can get pregnant while taking the white pills?????

:O my jaw literally dropped... is that in your currency?
I'm not very educated, unfortunately, when it comes to global stuff...
good thing for Google, LOL... that would be $78.93 Canadian, OUCH!!
my current bc is about $10 for 3 months. I guess that's out of the question for now, haha

peeves me b/c Yaz has been around for a while and I think the Insurance companies should cover it by now, sigh... thanks for letting me know  : )

Hi Steph,

as fas I know, the last week of pills are placebos
so you do NOT have to take them  ; )

IF you skip the white pills then you have to wait to start the fresh pack (as if you were taking the white pills all along)

as far as getting pregnant, we all know there's no 100% guaranteed birth control, so there is a chance... BUT, the point of the pill is to not be ovulating at all so I would talk to your doctor about the odds of getting pregnant

now I have a question for you, hehe
I asked my family doctor to switch me to Yaz because I think I might have PMDD
I found out my benefits don't cover it b/c it's considered a "new drug" (sigh...)
so my question is, about how much was it for your Yaz? (I'm in Canada)
