question ladies

after having a baby at the age of 34 how long it takes to stop the bleeding and have back again your normal period ? because my baby was born last month oct 6 he already a month and i still havent got my period now i did get the shot before i left the hospital so i wont get pregnant and im starting to think maybe the shot is messing with my period bcuz we already in nov 16 and yet i havent seen a normal period im only spotting and thats a waste of pads for me so what do yall think

I bleed for 8 weeks. Anything longer you call the doctor.
