Hello,
Weight gain is not a common side effect of spironolactone or Minoxidil. However it is a side effect of Brenda 35 which is a hormonal medicine. You can talk to your doctor and get it changed.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

thankyou so much for your answer, you have confirmed what ive been thinking that it is the Brenda pill, it also gives me very heavy periods, i feel its trying to add more curves to my body in an hourglass shape lol, but that really doesnt suit me and is resulting in wide thighs and struggle to lose weight...the only benefit is the larger breasts haha... ive been exerising 5 days a week for last 5 to 6 wks now and the results are painfully slow im also not a huge eater and doing my best at eating right... do you know any other pill that can be used instead of Brenda but for the same reasons its needed? one doctor wanted me on Myrena but the dermatologist said no, i personally think spiro and minoxidil are doing most the work and Brenda is only keeping me fat
