lo loestrin failed me?

switched from ortho tri cyclin low to Lo loestrin

went through the month of october fine never missed a pill on time every day, stopped november 1st and had a normal menstrual cycle.

november 7th went on lo loestrin and have been religious just the same with this pill. last tuesday the 15th had such light light bleeding less blood than a cat scratch, and then very very light pinkish brown spotting this all lasted maybe 6 hours.

on the 17th i went and had a sensi pregnancy urine test which came up negitive.

ive been pregnant before and that bit of tight feeling in my abdominals but not enough strength to keep everything sucked in feeling is back.

am I too early to be spotting? only a week after my menstural cycle for it to be implantation? and if it is wouldnt that test have detected the hormone?

went into my family planning on thursday the 17th  10 days after i finnished my menstrual  cycle.

my sensi urine test came back negative and im still spotting.

its been almost a week since my urine test, and im due to start my menstrual cycle on the 1st. im hoping it was a real negative, i wont know til I test again and i figure with a week before im suppossed to start my period would provide me with stronger results

Hello,
Although chances of pregnancy with birth control pills are very less, yet it is important to rule out pregnancy. Moreover these symptoms can be due to hormonal imbalance caused due to the pills.

You can test for pregnancy by a highly sensitive pregnancy test 10 days post ovulation with a sensitive ( 20 - 25 mIU ) pregnancy test. Also I would suggest you to get your serum HCG levels estimated since this is more specific than urine for pregnancy tests. The HCG (it is a hormone) levels rise only in pregnancy and its presence will confirm the status of your pregnancy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
