ortho tri-cyclen birth control pills...

I started taking ortho tri-cyclen birth control pills since august 4, 2013 to help regulate my periods. I started my cycle/bleeding august 14 to 24 which was very odd to me b/c my cycles r 5-6 days long but this time it wasn't and my period came august 14, 2013 but it would usually come At the end of the month or sometimes the beginning or not at all. So since my period came then and lasted that long, does that mean my period is trying to get back on track? Does ortho tri-cyclen really help for irregular periods? And when should I try for a baby after taking the pill for 3 months? My doctor put me on the pill for 3 months b/c Im trying to have a baby and I have been trying for over 2 years but nothing. Please tell me all u know about this or someone experienced this and got good results afterwards.

Hello,
Orthotricyclen is a triphasic hormonal pill. Triphasic birth control pills like Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo are meant to more closely mimic the hormonal changes of a woman’s natural menstrual cycle. It is helpful in regulating cycles, decreasing dysmenorrheal and menorrhagia. A regular cycle means regular ovulation. It is important to regularize your cycles before you are planning to conceive. Visit your doctor for more queries and assistance. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
