pre-period bleeding

I am 29 years old and I recently finished (4 May) doctor prescribed antibiotics for a UTI and yeast infection.  My husband and I had sex while I was on the antibiotics unprotected (1 May)  (heat of the moment thing, unexcusable I know since there is a possibility the antibiotics make my bc pill less effective!). I am taking a generic form of lo-gesterol  After we realized our OOPS!, it was only the 1st night of the antibiotics so we thought we might be okay.  However, the other day (6 May) after having sex we noticed some light bleeding. And I noticed it for sure when I wiped after urinating.  I have no pain when I urinate nor had any pain during sex.  I put a tampon in just to make sure it was indeed my blood.  Few hours later indeed there was some light bleeding so I kept a pantyliner on.  The next morning there was much more bleeding enough to warrant a super tampon which I had to change only a few hours later due to leakage. I also had pretty normal cramps (not more intense than what I would normally get with my period). But  I haven't had to use supers since I started on birth control as my flow is fairly light.  By this morning (8 may) there is hardly any blood and I've gone back to a pantyliner.

Is this maybe still from the infection I had?  I thought waiting 2 days after finishing the antibiotics would be sufficient.  Is it possible that its implantation bleeding as a result of our "OOPS!" ?  I'm quite nervous as we are not ready for a baby yet.

Since there was enough blood to warrant a super tampon, I'm doubting it was implantation bleeding as my understanding is that tends to be light.  Please ask your pharmacist or doctor when you can resume unprotected sex.  Some antibiotics continue to effect birth control efficacy up to a month following taking the pill, though many only continue to reduce efficacy for a week following completion of the antibiotic.  You will want to know what the case is with the one you are taking just to be on the safe side.

I forget to mention that I am about 9 days away from the start of my actual period and I've never had this kind of thing happen before.
