scared and confused

  I am on the nexplanon (implanon) implant and still my normal period just lighter every month well i'm late and i have taken 2 test both came out negative could i be pregnant and my implant is just blocking me from getting the positive test result or am i scared for no reason??

A-lot of birth control methods can stop your periods or make them irregular. I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about. Iv also never heard of birth control giving out false negatives. But It very well could.

If your truly concerned and can't find relief schedule an appointment with your gyno.

I was going to go on the implant and my doctor told me she thought I'd be really pleased to know one of the side effects is that many users typically quit having periods. (I was all for that side effect I previously used seasonale to skip periods.) So that's a possible side effect. Birth control will not interfere with a home pregnancy test, but testing too soon can. From the sounds of it it's highly unlikely your pregnant your just experiencing side effects.
