weight gain when on the pill?

Hey, I just started to take the pill and I'm just concerned about possible weight gain. I really like to stay healthy and run, but I'm wondering is it 100% positive I may gain weight even if I'm very active and eat healthy, or will I just gain if I don't control my eating habits and don't run? I just want to know that I'm in control and not the birth control.

If you are on a progesterone only pill or Depro Provera shot, it has been shown to cause an increase in appetite.  If you are on a combo pill that effect will be much less as your getting less progesterone.  If you continue to maintain your healthy lifestyle you should not gain weight simply because your on the pill.
