I believe the copper iud is a hormone free option. Ask your doctor if that might work for you.

If you don't want to take pills , so , you should use condoms . It has a very small percentage of fail . But be aware to get a reliable condoms . don't buy cheap condoms as it is not reliable and can break or tear easily ( i think that was happenned with you ) ..
