absolutely yes,, you could likely get pregnant in any way, any form while using every type of bc out there or non, if circumstances are right. iud's are not one hundred percent by any means, and have larger that other things failure rate,.. I became pregnant and then need removal of the iud, which takes huge risks of miscarraiges for the next two weeks which did indeed happen for me.. but then, about six weeks later, I was still swearing I felt pregnant, doc needed to order an ultrasound since tubal pregnancy with iud in place is also higher than typical.. and, so I discovered is the development of ovarian cysts, which, for me, by the time of discover was about the size of a grapefruit. they had to remove the ovary also.. all guessed to be caused by the iud.. they theorize tgat exposure of the uterus to copper is the probable cause

you can get pregnant with an IUD i meet someone that was born with an IUD in their hand. alot of times though the IUD causees a miscarraige or complacations through the pregnancy. i am haveing my IUD removed because i am tired of feeling pegnant when i am not.
I have mirena and have for almost a year, I found out about 3 months ago I was pregnant, wondering myself how it happened because I used condoms and have an iud. They said everything was fine it hadn't moved. so yes it is possible to become pregnant with an iud but it rarely happens. Although all four times I have been pregnant I was on some form of birth control and using condoms just be to sure.
Hi I would lik to know if im pregnant cause I haf my period 3 times in the in a week I been feelin nauseas..nd dizzy.. I just want to knw if im pregnant cause I got a marina iud...
I am wondering the the same thing if you can get pregnant with an IUD? Ive had my periods since i got the IUD inserted (around december) but the last 3 months they have not normal they are very heavey and its not always red its brown and i go through tampons every half an hour. This month i started spotting like 3 days before i started my period which is very abnormal then i started my period on the 10th and it was very heavy again then i ened about the16th and all of a sudden on the 23rd i started again but there has been no red blood its all been brown could i be having a miscarriage? or whats going on?
I have had an mirena iud for about 3 1/2 years now and went to the er last nite for abdominal pain and my blood work came back that I am pregnant. not sure what is going to happen but I am sure that I am pregnant with an iud. The funniest part is I saw my iud in the ultrasound!! lol
The manufacturer of Paragard states that it is 99.9% effective when properly inserted. However, it becomes less effective if the IUD shifts or slips out of place. This is why you should check your strings on a regular basis to make sure there are no changes in the positioning of your IUD. No birth control is 100% effective, but the effective rate of an IUD is better than condoms.
i have a coworker who had the paragard IUD and is now pregnant...they had to do an emergency IUD removal. So, it can happen, but it is very rare. She was told it was because her uterus is shaped like a heart.
