What does this mean?: I have a 9x8mm heterogeneously enhancing T1/T2 isointense pineal lesion. This lesion appears solid and does not have signal characteristics of a cystic lesion. (This was from the MRI)
(This was from the CT) Approximately 9mm partially calcified pineal lesion lesion is redemonstrated. There is again mild cerebellar tonsillar ectopia.
My question, is this a brain tumor? My doctor insists on calling it a brain cyst. I am not a doctor, but the first sentence would imply that it is not indeed a cyst, I would think....? I will not know much more until my next MRI in mid Dec., thanks!
