Is it Brain or Ear related?

In February, I was driving and out of the blue, I went blind momentarily. I pulled over (someone in the car guided me) and at the same time that I "went blind" I saw what I describe as two TV screens/or monitors with "snow" on them (like when your tv service goes out) and one lightning "strike" in each monitor...the "strike" was in the middle of the monitor and motionless, just like a clipart of a lightning strike. Some doctors have said it could be a tumor on the pituitary gland, others say it is inner ear related. Has anyone else had something like this or similar please? How did yours resolve please?  Symptoms I have been having episodically are: loss of balance with very slow vertigo - episodically also. Thank you in advance.
