Why is my head hurting..its not a migraine...tumor?

Ok here goes....I have had migraines for about 15 yrs, I take topamax, imitrex injections and vicodin for them. I am 34, had a hysterectomy at 28 so I know I'm not pregnant. For the last 3-4 months I have had a dull ache to throbbing headache on the very top of my head, midline to the right. It seems to be worse at night, nothing seems to take it away 2 vicodin don't touch it. It wakes me from sleep at times, I am nausea quite frequently but so far have not vomited, I take the motion sickness pills daily to take away the nausea. My left arm is very weak, the slightest task using it leaves it feeling like I just bench pressed 500 lbs, my feet and legs tingle and go numb when I'm sitting. Over the last few months I have also noticed that I can't spell certain words when typing them, I KNOW I know what I am trying to type and I know how to spell them but can't .....I always have to go back and fix the words usually ...the comes out te and my comes out me and there are a few more. I also have had ringing in my ears as well, not everyday maybe a few times a week. I know this constant pain isn't a migraine but I'm just worried what it could be...tumor...cancer....?What are the symptoms? My doctor sent me for a routine MRI in 2007 and it was fine. I went for another MRI waiting out results. No contrast was used is that good or bad?

did you get your mph results yet? Your symptoms sound a lot like chiari malformation. I'm not saying it is because i'm not a dr but your symptoms are very familiar. Hope you get some answers soon.

Have you thought about getting another opinion on your headaches? Besides the MRI, are they addressing the weakness - which could be another issue? Re ears - see an ENT but ringing, which I have had for years, is usually benign - but get another opinion and maybe a referral to another neuro.

Have you tried any other non-pill ways to deal with pain such as acupincture, chiro or bio-feedback, massage or something - some of the pain can be rebound from all the pills or side effects perhaps?

Have you consulted a pain management person?
