Alas, you may have seen an endo who does not know pituitary stuff? Or just a lousy doc...
So they are letting you run around with a possible chordoma - so the doc thinks it is not for some reason? What tests have they run?
the MRI said that my cortex is being eroded by this cyst. the 2nd MRI said that a chordoma isn't ruled out- median survival on chordomas is 7 years
the one endo I went to was really nasty to me
I would get in to a qualified surgeon ASAP...
Since I don't know and the report does not say - which direction the cyst is growing (btw - cysts? erode? isn't that a bit unusual? I could see mass effect but a tumor could erode but a cyst is a ball of fluid - so I would double check with a surgeon on this - just my layman's take here) it is hard to say what part of the cortex is involved but I would also think it would only be a small involvement at this point - but they need to get on the ball and remove this before it gets worse!
I looked up NE cyst and it said "Neurenteric cysts, along with Rathke cleft and colloid cysts, are endodermally derived lesions of the CNS." I would really run to a pituitary center...
