My 46 year old brother, battling cardio myopathy, just had another fainting occurence. He has been symptomatic since his 20's, and has a defibrilator(sp?) that works at 99% capacity. Amidst his barrage of symptoms, he has had fainting occurences over the last few years. His most recent one, this past Sunday, led to a CT scan while he was at the hospital. He was told that it looks like a cyst on his pituitary gland, and to follow up with a neurologist. After reading a ton of information on many websites, it sounds more like, get an answer from a specialist, right away. The hospital recommended he wait 3-4 months and have another scan done, to compare the two, to see if it has grown or changed at all. Since many of his symptoms, as a heart patient, are the same as pituitary gland cyst symptoms, I feel that there is a big "red flag" being waved! What should he do at this point?
