You need a better explantion from your doctor. It could not have been a crystal.

Hi,
It depends on what your doctor has recommended in your particular situation regarding further testing, follow up etc...
In the meantime, try to limit your caffeine intake, (Coffee, chocolate colas) salty food and fatty food.
Unfortunately there isn't much one can do about cysts, many women have this problem.Simple cysts are benign and do not turn into cancer.
Do your self breast exam each month,a week after the start of your menstrual cycle to check if any lump has developed. Also visit your doctor regularly for breast examination to make sure that your breasts are healthy.
Take care..

For your information, the term "Crystal" (as you may have correctly mentioned when you  posted),is often used by radiologists when crystals of calcium phosphate deposits (calcification) are found in the breast tissue and seen on mammography or other type of imaging.
The answer by Japdip was correct, since you mentioned "crystal" which is a type of calcification that could occur on benign growths like a breast cysts or fibroadenomas..

Often calicfications found in the breast tissue are referred to as "crystals" ... they are actually calcium deposits and scattered about they are usually no cause for concern. When they are observed clustered in groups there is a need for a biopsy as they can be an indication of something serious. Pain is rarely associated with these calcifications or even breast cancer. I'm sure there was a written report as a result of your "operation" and you might ask your Dr. to explain it to you when you see him/her next.   Regards ....
