breast problem

Hello,  I have a 0.9x 0.6 mass in breast with increasing microcalcification cluster, BI - RADS 4 an 5. I am scared to death . Lost my Mom a year ago to breast cancer. Seems like I am doing the hurry up an wait game, an NO one is giving me any answers. I am doing a steriotatic biopsy on the 12th. of Feb. and once again I have to set an worry. This has really not been an easy time for me. I understand that the biopsy has to be done , but WHY does the biopsy take so long to get back?
Thank you for your time, AND my GOD Bless

Hi Cathy, sorry to read about your worries.  Hopefully your surgeon will be sympathetic to your situation especially since you lost your mum to breast cancer so recently.  I really hope that all goes well for you, not too long to wait now.  God bless xxxx

I can see why this would be stressing you out so much after just losing you Mom but all these things do take time and the waiting is the worst ... everyone says so.
I would think you would have your biopsy results in 4 to 7 days ... the tissue has to be sent to the Pathology Lab and tested and viewed under the microscope which can't be rushed. There aren't really any answers for you at this point but you are obviously receiving excellent medical care. I'm sorry we can't do anything about the miserable waiting time ... Take care
