infected gland of mongomery

I believe that I have an infected gland of mongomery, I admit that I have squeezed it because at first I wondered if it was a pimple, now however it is red, swollen and painful to even the slightest touch. What can i do to treat it or take care of it before I get to the dr if i need to

I believe that I may have an infected gland of mongomery as well. At least I hope it is that and not something more sinister. A few days ago I woke up with a red, swollen lump on my nipple that is the size of a pea. It hurts to the slightest touch. I thought it might be a pimple and got a bit of puss out of it, but it closed over and has just gotten more swollen and red. My doctor cannot see me for two more days, so I'm concerned what to do while I wait. Also, half of what I find when I look up these symptoms say something about 'inflammatory breast cancer' which scares me to death (the internet is a double edged sword). Should I wait for my doctor's appointment in two days or go to a walk-in clinic to get this taken care of ASAP?

Hi,

You need to wear lose clothes , maintain proper hygiene and try some warm compresses at the site. But from what you describe, you would need a course of antibiotics and some pain relief medications.

You should consult your doctor to get a clinical evaluation and to assess the extent of spread of infection.

What is your age?

Hope this helps.
