Fourteen, and confused

Hey, I am fourteen, and I'm pretty much positive that the lump I feel in my right breast is just a normal part of growing. But I am curious as to what the lump may be classified as if anyone has a guess. It is located in the upper part of my right breast. The lump is relatively large, but there is no discharge. I don't think it is a lymph node, because that's located more towards the underarm, correct? The other thing is, (and I know this can also be a normal part in growing up for teenage girls) that my right breast is oddly shaped, and much larger than my left. When I say larger, i don't mean just the usual amount that girls and women experience. I mean that my right breast is about twice as large as my right. And as I said it is a completely different shape. I've had this lump since before I started my period, and, though I haven't really kept track of it, I think it has grown. My period flow has been unbelievably heavy since I started meunstruating, but I don't know if that has anything to do with this lump. I would appreciate any opinions on what the lump might be, if anything, and if it is something to worry about.

p.s. I am seeing my physician on the twenty-sixth, just to make sure everything is okay, but I have been slightly concerned, and just outright curious for the past week since I made the appointment as to what it is. So please, voice your opinion.

                                                                                                              ~ Thanks!

im sure its just hormonal changes and when ur growing your breast sizes can be very different. they should even out as u grow. at ur age breasts are lumpy so im sure its normal but if ur worried going to ur gp is a good thing for reassurance.
for information there are lymph nodes in the breast and towards the sternum, but most are felt under ur arm which is the direction the infection will travel in. periods arent really anything to do with it. but if the heavyness is bothering you then mention it and maybe the doc could put u on the pill or sumthing which can make periods lighter and less painful.

You are absolutely correct; these things are all a part of "growing up" .... hormonal changes in your body. You are also very wise to be seeing your Dr. as he/she can explain in detail what is and will be happening due to these variations of hormones. By the way there are lymph nodes located within the breast tissue as well as in the underarm area.  Take care and "stay smart" ......
