Help... not sure what this means!!!

Can you please help me understand what all this means. Just got my ultrasound results back and it stated:
In the right breast at the 10 o'clock position there is 11mm x 4mm hypoechoic solid nodule. Previous right mammogram shows a small cluster of microcalcification in the upper outer quadrant, worsened from an outside ultrasound which was done in July 2008. Calcifications are nonspecific and suggest mammographic guided core biopsy.

I wouldn't make such an assumption as many biopsies return benign results. When microcalcifications appear in clusters they are an indication that the breast tissue is responding to some abnormality within the breast; no doubt the nodule that was demonstrated by Ultrasound. The "not knowing" and the "waiting" are difficult but try not to let it get to you. Positive thoughts, OK ??   Regards ...

Thank you so much for the quick response, does this mean a high probability it can be cancer or it can be some other breast disease.

Thank You

This means that a nodule/lesion was found in your right breast and also a cluster of calcifications that appears worse, or larger than when this cluster was first discovered. As a rule any time a cluster of calcifications is found. some type of biopsy is recommended. I would think an appointment with a Breast Surgeon is in order at this point in regards to the recommended biopsy. At any rate these findings need to be investigated to some conclusion.    Regards ....
