Inflammatory Breast Cancer

My question is for anyone who has ever experienced, or known anyone who has every experienced, IBC.  I had a mammogram yesterday, the technician said she did not see anything to be concerned about.  I know IBC is not detectable in a mammogram.  I am having some problems with my right breast.  Swollen and painful lymph nodes under my right arm, pain and inflammation in my right breast, swollen lymph nodes in my right shoulder, and shooting pain through my right shoulder.
I do not have any discoloration of my breast, bruising, or rash.  It does not feel like it is hot "running temperature".  It does, however, have a heavy feeling at times.  As well as tenderness.  No nipple discharge but I have had a reduction and it is grafted so I know that is not even going to happen.
I do have to say the inflammation comes and goes.  Having never dealth with cancer before, or never having known anyone with breast cancer, I was not sure if the pain and symptoms are consistant once they start, or if they come and go.  I have a positve ANA test and was diagnosed recently with Lupus.  I am not sure if this is part of a flare or should I be more concerned.
Thanks for anyone who replies.   I am really scared here and appreciate any information I can obtain.

Thank you and God bless.

I can tell you one thing ... if this were IBC it would not come and go as you describe. It could be an infection (mastitis) or even related to a flare associated with your recently diagnosed Lupus. A skin biopsy would be the way to a diagnosis of IBC but I don't see any connection from the symptoms you have described. I don't know what type of Dr. you are seeing but if you are terribly concerned then you might consider seeing a breast specialist. Regards ..
