Im 28 and found a lump.

hello,

Can anyone advise me please?

4 days ago i found a lump on the tip of my areola on the left breast. Its a little tender to touch, about the size of a pea and hard and firm.

I have been to the doctor who said leave it a month as could be hormonal.

There is no breast cancer in my family , but, my uncle on my dads side died from a brain tuma and my grandad on my mothers side died of a brain tuma also.

Does anybody have something or had something like this and it been fine or the other?

Thank you.

xx

Hi,
Sometimes, the montgomery glands can be infected causing a hard painful lump that would resolve in time, or would respond with antibiotic treatment.
Your Doctor also could be right saying that this little lump might be caused by hormonal changes in the body and would eventually disappear.
However is you see that this lump enlarges and becomes more painful and inflamed I think that you should revisit your doctor for more investigation.
Take care ....
