What do I do? Should I get biopsy?

Last Friday I went for an Ultra sound because I felt a lump in my  left breast.  They determined that I needed a Mammogram.  So I went and had the mammogram.  Waited 10 minutes the lady came back and said I am sorry I need to torture you some more.  She changed a piece on the machine and continued.  10 min later she said we have to do another Ultra sound.  In the ultra they found 2 cysts.  The Dr came in and told me that most woman have mirror image breasts...however you do not.  He said my left breast is very dense and the other is not.  He said that I PROBABLY have fibroid cysts.  He told me to come back in 6 months.  My question is my breast is hurting really bad and the lump feels bigger to me.  Should I call my primary Dr and have more tests done?  Should I get the blood test done to see if I carry the cancer gene?  My great Aunt died of breast cancer at 32.  My grandmother passed of colon cancer.  My mom had a mam done 4 yrs ago and they found a black mass but she would not go back.  Maybe they are just Fibroid cysts but he said probably and that bothers me.  Thanks for listening. =)

There really aren't any further tests that would tell you anymore than you know now. Evidently it was discovered that you have Fibrocystic Breast Disease. These cysts do cause pain and they do get larger and then smaller. You should certainly have a discussion with your Physician to ask some advice as to things you can do to improve your situation. These cysts can be surgically removed if they become very bothersome but they are usually just left alone and watched as recommended ... every 6 months. Regards .....
