My fiance has multiple lumps in her breast ..

i am copying the ultrasound report ... please advice do we need to undergo more finding. she is 31 yrs old with no genetic history of BC in her family.

Follow up ultrasound done on 20/10/2010

CLINICAL INDICATION: follow-up.

Multiple well-defined oval hypoechoic lesions identified in both
breast.
The largest in the right breast at 9.00 position measuring 26 X 18 mm.
It appears slightly heterogeneous and shows minimal peripheral
vascularity.
The second largest on the right side measures 15 X 9 mm seen at 10.00
position.

The lesion on left side at 12.00 position measuring 15 X 9 mm
At 4.00 position measuring 12 X 8 mm.
the largest lesion on left side is seen at 10.00 position measuring 18
X 11 mm.
No cystic lesion seen on either side.
No axillary lymphadenopathy noted on either side.

IMPRESSION:
Multiple well-defined oval hypoechoic lesions seen in both breast as
described above. The largest in lesion in the right breast appears
heterogenous shows minimal peripheral vascularity.
The left breast lesions also appears heterogenous however no
significant vascularity is seen.
No  significant change in size of the lesions is seen as compared to
the previous examination of August 2010,
however the follow-up examination is done before the recommended
period of six-month
I would recommend another follow-up ultrasound after a six-month .
BIRAD CATEGORY - III :  Probable benign finding. Short interval
followup suggested.

fist ultrasound done on: 05/08/2010

CLINICAL INDICATION: Breast lump.

Multiple solid hypoechoic areas are seen on the right side, all of
them have well defined margins and posterior acoustic enhancement and
edge  shadowing suggestive of benign lesions. The largest which is
palpable to the patient is at 9 o'clock position measuring 23 x 20mm
showing a slightly heterogeneous texture.
On the left side at least two similar kind of lesions are seen, one is
12 o'clock position measuring 1.8 X 1.1cm and the other one is at 4
o'clock position measuring approximately 17 x 09mm, this lesion again
shows a slightly heterogeneous texture.
The right axilla shows a lymph node measuring less than 1cm in short
axis diameter. The left axilla is clear.

IMPRESSION:
Multiple solid lesions in both the breast, the one which is palpable
to the patient on the right side at 9 o' clock  and second at 12
o'clock position on the left sides show a slightly heterogeneous
texture,  a follow-up ultrasound after 6 month is recommended.
BIRAD CATEGORY - III :  Probable benign finding.Short term follow up
is recommended.

Hi,
All the lesions seem to have benign features and that's why a BI-RADS score 3 was reported on her ultrasound results.
These solid benign lumps could be Fibroadenomas made up of fibrous or glandular tissues. They are movable, painless, smooth, round, and hard like a marble and occur most frequently between ages 20-40.The lumps detected have no particular suspicious features to warrant a biopsy at this time, but need to be monitored in 6 months as scheduled by the radiologist to see if there are any changes.
I really wouldn't worry much about it,but if you and your fiancé are,I would suggest that you consult a breast specialist who can examine her and review the reports and films so a second opinion can be given about these findings.
Best wishes to both of you.
