You don't state the reason for your recent biopsy (lump, microcalcifications, etc.) but since you tested negative less than a year ago I doubt that the upset stomach, back and hip pain are in any way related to breast cancer. The swelling in your neck and armpit could be due to reactive lymph nodes and since you are obviously seeing your Dr. I would have him/her ck, this out. Lymph nodes become swollen for several reasons and an examination is necessary to determine the cause. Your Dr. will have the answers that you seek so please see him/her regarding these many concerns.    Regards ....

Hopefully you biopsy will come back negative. But if you are have any changes since you saw your doctor, like the swelling in your neck and armpit, please contact your doctor right away. Any change should be reported. Good luck to you and let us know how you make out.

Hi mfk,
I dont' have breast cancer but am at the beginning of being tested for it since there is a high suspicion for it due to the MRI results I just got back last week  and high risk i'm in because of both my sisters having had breast cancer.

so I can't really answer your question about it spreading.  How can one NOT think the worst with the way that people are getting breast cancer these days. the percentage has changed and younger woman are now getting it and there's now an increase in Men too.
so anytime a woman is told there is a suspicion for breast carcinoma, our minds aren't going to set with that too easy.
you mentioned you had your 2nd biopsy. when did you have the 1st one, how old were you then and what did it wind up being?
are you at high risk? My breast surgeon told me last month that just being a WOMAN puts us at risk for getting breast cancer. so never mind if you have a family history of it too.
maybe you're swollen in those two areas because of the biopsy?
also, maybe your stomach is upset because of it being related to the stress you're now going through because of having to wait for the biopsy results?
IF you've been reading up on breast cancer and read somewhere about bone metastisis, you might wind up getting the symptoms. I say this because I read somewhere that MED students wind up getting a syndrome from reading about all the diseases. they start to feel what they read.
this is what our minds are capable of doing. so it's hard to say.
we can't go by mammo's alone or ultra sounds alone if we are at high risk.
there are certain forms of breast cancer that don't show up on the mammogram or ultra sounds. that's why they're doing more studies now on the option of using MRI's along with mammo's and ultrasounds to high risk woman.
an MRI is more affective in seeing. PLUS the rate of false positives are small.
An MRI usually is right if it states there's a positive negative result, which means if nothing shows up, you can depend on it not being anything there. there are a few that come up in thousands that will say there's something there that looks suspicious and not till they biopsy it are they able to tell 100% whether it's positive or not.
I'd rather have a negative positive result and wind up having the biopsy just to be on the safe side.
imagine if they took the chance by saying, ghee, mri's cause false positive's so I"m not going to biopsy this womans lesion or mass and then find out a year later that it wound up being cancer?
I'd rather opt to have the biopsy. so WHAT if it was false neg. right?

so be careful on your studies and if you still suffer these symptoms, ask yourself if you felt them before you had the biopsy? or did you start to feel them afterwards or after reading up on breast cancer and it's symptoms?

I say this because I too am going through the same symptoms you are. I even started a seperate post on this very same subject. but no one is really answering my specific question YET.

good luck on your results and I hope with all my heart that it comes out negative or benign.
please keep in touch so we can stay close together to give one another the support we need and seek?

sincerely,
Linda
