Thank you.

Thank you for your help jadpig (I believe that's your username), I finally went to the doctor today and I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. It's at an early stage... so pretty much I feel a little bit okay! I'm having a surgery on Friday, and I hope it all turns out okay.

Any help? How should I comfort myself?

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis .... curious as to how you were diagnosed and what type of cancer. You had only mentioned the Fibrocystic condition before and your mammograms were negative. What test/biopsy resulted in this diagnosis and what type of surgery are you having ? What comes next will depend on the final Pathology results. It's difficult to tell someone else how to approach this ... I think of it as a job/chore/problem that must be dealt with and proceed accordingly. Everyone has a different experience when it comes to dealing with a cancer diagnosis. One thing I think that is important is to do what's best for YOU .... afterall you know you better than anyone else. All too often friends and relatives are quick to say "do this, think that, etc, etc." I believe in following a path that is the most comfortable for you .... listen, nod your head, say thanks and do what you please. It's all about YOU now so take good care of yourself. Keep me posted (by private message if you wish) as to your progress. Wishing you the very best ....
