biopsies

I had a breast biopsy recenty(4 weeks ago) No carcinoma or other evidence of malignancy was identified..
Left breast mass was 7.6(superior to inferior) x 5.8 (medial to lateral x 1.3 cm (anterior to posterior) irregular portion of tan-yellow fibrofatty breast tissue. Other than telling me no cancer was found, the surgeon did not tell me too much of anything else. What is the usual post- op follow up after having surgical breast biopsy such as this?

Thank you for responding to my questions.
Still have lots of questions.
I did have a follow-up appointment after the surgery. It seemed the MD was not in a very good mood to answer my questions.
She is a well known MD on Breast disease and I was quite surprised how she was "annoyed" at the questions I was concerned about!
Thank you again

Hi,
Congratulations on your benign biopsy results!. :)
I think you should call your doctor or nurse and ask when you need a follow-up mammogram or other tests that you may need in the future.
It's important also to do your BSE( breast self exam) monthly, one week or so after the start of your period,to check for any changes in your breasts and to contact your doctor if you do notice a lump.
Aside these precautions,I don't think that there is anything you should be worried about.
Best wishes...
